Wendy Weikal-Beauchat
Location: Pennsylvania
Age at the time of sentencing:
Date of sentencing: December 2014
Wendy Weikal-Beauchat is currently sentenced to 15 years in prison for stealing $6 million from 30 of her clients, most of which were elderly.
Prior to her sentencing, Weikal-Beauchat worked as an attorney and mainly focused on estate, trust, and long-care planning. Along with working as an attorney, she has also written a book titled “Courage for the Journey: Wisdom for the Broken Road.” In her author’s page on Amazon, she describes herself as a relatable figure who can sympathize with others who have gone through difficult events in their lives. However, this description could not be further from the truth. Throughout her career as an attorney, Weikal-Beauchat shamelessly stole from many of her elderly clients. To perpetuate this scheme, she would lie to her clients by creating fake bank CDs and attempt to cover up any evidence of her stealing the money. She used this money to fund her law business, vacations, and a multitude of other frivolous expenses. Eventually, she was caught and sentenced for her actions.
