Palasini swindled veterans and the elderly out of more than $2 million. She presented herself as a consultant who was able to help the elderly obtain benefits and maximize their savings. Palasini’s scheme defrauded investors through the use of the U.S. Mail. U.S. Attorney Felicia C. Adams said, “The acts committed by Ms. Palasini tell a disturbing tale of avarice and greed. She defrauded veterans and other investors for her own financial gain.”
