Peaches Stergo conducted a romance scheme against an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor and successfully stole $2.8 million, which was his life savings. For approximately four and a half years, the victim wrote 62 checks to Stergo. A Department of Justice press release dated July 27, 2023 stated that Stergo joked in a text message that the victim had nothing left to pawn.
