Currently, Doc Gallagher is sentenced to three life sentences in prison.

Prior to his conviction, Doc Gallagher was a Christian radio host in Texas who was known as “The Money Doctor.” Like other financial predators, he utilized the radio and books as a vector to both target new victims and feign legitimacy. Along with this, he reached out to victims in local churches and used his reputation as a Christian to gain their trust. In total, Doc Gallagher ended up stealing approximately $32 million from mostly elderly and vulnerable individuals.
